Cold and squashed but perfectly formed
Mar. 26th, 2008 11:28 amLeon brought me a hot cross bun this morning , apparently a third hand gift from Elizabeth's daughter.who just arrived from England It was in a ripped plastic Sainsbury's bakery bag, one of two remaining from the dozen, and the bun itself was quite squashed and a day old but oh, goodness, it was lovely with tea. I haven't had anything eastery in maybe a decade. We even missed easter in Plovdiv because the bloody Orthodox do theirs a week later. We saw the easter egg decoration kits in the supermarket there, and I bought 5 new icons from the painted church near the hostel for my Wall of Icons, but other than that, no easter. Good thing I'm not actually Christian. I do miss Cream Eggs and buns though.
